“Peninsula Manila stands out in a city where a classically elegant hotel with international standards is highly appreciated. A reliable haven of comfortable accommodation and popular restaurants, the hotel is as much a favourite with the local cognoscenti as it is with visiting guests. Peninsula Manila is exceptional amongst its peers, its imposing architecture reflecting the impressive service within.”

Hotel Guest Reviews

:-( “their standard of service has declined and have neglected small details such as: providing only one bathrobe when there are two occupants in the room (there were 2 bathrobes on the first day and only one on the 2nd day), bathrobe had a hole on the underarm, hair dryer was missing, bath accessories were not sufficiently replaced. Also, upon my check out, I was billed for the airport transfer that was supposed to be complimentary. Luckily, I caught it.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) “Stayed in a deluxe room for a total of 7 nights hotel was very good. staff are very nice. impressive lobby. room was clean, comfortable and spacious. bathroom was great too. breakfast buffet was excellent. location is close to greenbelt (great choice of restaurants and shops). no complaints really, except for some weird small reddish stains on the sheets.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) “Travelled with grown up daughter, and could not falt this hotel from check in which was smooth and friendly, all staff were friendly and could not do enough for us, Breakfast was amazing with a huge variety,The bar was our favourite of an evening after a hard day shopping” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) “It is located on the corner of Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue in the central business district of Makati City, in Metro Manila. It is located also in Barangay Urdaneta. One of the Most Luxury Hotel in the heart of Makati Philippines! Very Elegant Hotel” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) “My mother and I stayed at the Peninsula for four nights.. two nights, then a trip to Boracay (a must do) and two nights before home.. The hotel is stunning especially the foyer and lobby. The staff are happy, friendly and cant do enough for you. The high level of security at every entrance makes you feel safe” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) “The best hotel I have seen in Manila, Makati City. Very service oriented personal. Wonderfull entry hall, where you can sit in the evening and do business meetings. Piano player makes the envrioment calm and easy. Fine food and in the center of serveral Shopping malls arround. Nice rooms and a room personal which knows you personally.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-( “This is our 3rd time in staying at manila penn, during our 2nd stay last 2008 which was for my wedding i booked 7 rooms for 2 nights..way back then service, price, food was so good but this time our last stay april 2010 everything i was expecting as with previous stay fell apart..these 2 guys at the reception booked our 2 rooms for 2 nights when w e were down to take our buffet breakfast we were informed that 1 of the room i reserved was without breakfast?” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-( “Good for leisure – Not for business… in terms of business the hotel is very poor. I booked and used the boardroom on the Club Floor level – Level 4. It was completely unprepared. No water, no coffee, no pens and paper, no mints – all the usual stuff you expect in a boardroom.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-( “We stayed at the Peninsula for 3 nights and chose it based on the name and brand of Peninsula hotels. This Peninsula needs renovation and does not compare to the other Peninsula hotels I have stayed in before.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com

:-) :-( “Good location, but pricy It is a great location. I felt safe here where as at other hotels, that might not be the situation. First class hotel, great for a business trip.
Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com

:-) “The most luxurious hotel room I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay at. Beautiful & well-appointed rooms, and magnificent bathroom. Full set of toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, high-quality white bedlinen. Luxurious lobby area and atrium filled with flowers galore. Staff are very polite and helpful.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com

:-) “Great full service spa, ridiculously delicious breakfast, great water pressure, salon located in the basement, charming pool, merchants come in daily to sell local art and handicrafts on the mezzanine terrace, and wireless broadband available in the lobby, business center and pool areas. Very good restaurants from which you can order in room service.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com

:-) “Fantastic breakfast – best I’ve experienced in Asia. FREE BROADBAND IN ALL ROOMS – they provide LAN cable for free. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to Glorietta shopping complex. 10 min walk to P Burgos street” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com

:-) “I am a American and was traveling by myself. I felt safe at this hotel. And I loved the massages for $15 USD and the inexpensive manicures in the salon. I recommend calling the hotel and arranging for their Mercedes to pick you up at the airport. They had cool towels for me to freshen up with after a long flight from Europe.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com

:-) “I stayed here in June 2009 for 3 days. I arrived really early at 5:00am and was welcomed and upgraded from a Premier suite to a Executive Suite. The room was impeccable, decor was beautiful and overall I was totally satisfied with my stay.” Guest review from www.mytravelguide.com

:-( “My wife left her earrings in the safety deposit box and never recovered them. The security staff did not have a clue on how to handle the investigation of the incident. Such a turn-off for a hotel that boasts of high tech security. We stayed at the Makati tower of the hotel for a week. The newly renovated rooms were overrated, small and did not impress me at all.” Guest review from www.mytravelguide.com

:-) “The Lobby is majestic! I can’t help but take pictures especially at the lobby’s insigne at the ceiling. It was just wonderful. I was greeted by almost every staff. The room is so spacious and modern. I like the Filipino-inspired theme. Food is great!” Guest review from www.mytravelguide.com

:-) “Peninsula Manila is a fantastic luxury hotel at great price. The breakfast is unsurpassed by any other hotel I’ve stayed in. The service throughout the hotel is indeed service which is 24 hour and excellent.” Guest review from www.mytravelguide.com

:-) “May I suggest a suite at Manila Penn? This hotel since in a great area and is attended by a great staff with fantastic amenities. The Pool was lavish and they can bring drinks to you while you swim.” Guest review from www.travbuddy.com

:-) “Consistently excellent, and extremely good value for a high-end hotel. Spices restaurant, on the ground floor, is one of the best in Manila. Sunday brunch in Nielson’s (ground floor, again) is a terrific deal. The concierge recommended several excellent places to visit at night. Security is comprehensive, without being intrusive. You can find a cheaper place to stay in Makati, but not a better place to stay.” Guest review from www.hoteltravel.com

:-) “Excellent hotel, with superior service and first-class restaurants. Recently rerouted traffic makes it difficult to walk from here to the Glorietta Mall, but it is only a 1 USD taxi ride away.” Guest review from www.hoteltravel.com

:-( “Belldesk too slow as I had to call down for drop off of luggage upon check-in. Check-in a bit slow and impersonal. Not much hospitality exhibited . To compare , lessons can be learned from the J.W. Mariott in Bangkok on Sukhumitt as that truly is a 5 Star Hotel. Check out was more friendly and hospitable. As a frequent flyer in Business and First and a frequent hotel overnighter throughout the year , I believe first impressions with reception staff and bell services define your hotel. I must be honest that I was not impressed and have an average opinion of the services. Not a 5 Star caliber. Sorry.” Guest review from www.hoteltravel.com

:-) “The service at the Peninsula Manila Hotel was impeccable. I would have given Excellent across the board, but the pool water was green when we were there in July 2005. On this recent trip, which included stays in Japan, Philippines, Guam and Hawaii, our stay at the Peninsula Manila was the most satisfying. We will definitely stay at the Peninsula Manila on our next trip.” Guest review from www.hoteltravel.com

:-( “Very nice place, but the rooms need updating a bit. A little musty and old for a 5 star hotel!” Guest review from www.hotelclub.com

:-) “If you’re after a five star hotel with the lot, stay at Manila Pen. The lobby restaurant serves both English and Filipino dishes. So yummy. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. “ Guest review from www.hotelclub.com

:-) “This is the best hotel is Makati Manila. Service, price, status, everything. If you’re after the best hotel in the hottest shopping area, you can’t pass up Manila Pen.” Guest review from www.hotelclub.com
