Intercontinental Manila Guest Reviews
“I would not recomment this hotel, I am a Royal Ambassador Member (membership number (563311***) that recently stayed in this hotel June 18-22nd, my experience included – Negatives * Very old and tired rooms * A room (Junior Suite it was called) with the wardrobe in the bathroom * Workman banging on my window from 730am Saturday morning until 11am” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“Excellent Hotel! Very good service! Pleasant and courteous personnel!” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“Stayed for one night on business. Everything worked well and staff were generally efficient and helpful. The Club Lounge was very pleasant with a good range of food on offer at breakfast” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“The hotel location is great as is the service of the staff. However, the decor of the rooms (lobby is fine) is old-fashioned.” Guest review from www.holidaycity.com
“This is my first stay in Manila and in this hotel. Room rate is PHP 4900 w/o bf. Must say that the hotel location is fantastic. Plenty of shopping around (Glorietta, SM, Landmark etc.) and wide variety of food. Hotel is about 20 minutes away (on Sunday) from NAIA. Metered taxi cost about PHP 300. Stayed in a standard room” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“All the employees were wonderful, competent and very nice people. The room was very good with the exception of the bathroom which we found to be too small, had a bad toilet and sink and was quite uncomfortable.” Guest review from www.expedia.com
“The service at this hotel is one of the best. The staff is so attentive to your needs and try their best to make your stay comfortable. The hotel itself is located near shopping malls so if you are a person who enjoys shopping this may well be a good choice. There are a lot of eating joints around too” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“The hotel is quite 80s but has been renovated. The rooms are fine but the bathroom feels like a renovated bathroom… bit moldy around the edges if you know I mean. There’s no sense of luxury about the pool and you’re sitting right beside a noisy freeway. the hotel is generally very noisy with street traffic all around.” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“I had booked online. Confirmed over the phone, and asked the hotel to send a car for me. Everything went without a problem. I walked to the desk gave my name, quick pass of the credit card and I was taken to my room. The room was big and spacious. Large comfortable pillows on the bed. Crisp sheets. Newspapers were on the table. Complimentary bottled water was provided every day. The bathroom was large. The room had marbled floors and countertops. There was not a shortage of large fluffy bath towels. This hotel was top notch.” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“I stayed five nights during X mas 2008. Worth money spent as the price was competitive for such a good location. Choose this hotel because was recommended by the filippino. The breakfast at the jeepney was okay dispite they serve same foods everyday The rooms was small but bareable but the bathroom was far too small for five stars hotel..” Guest review from www.tripadvisor.com
“Very cozy. Elegance’s everywhere.I can’t ask for more. I really hope my husband would take me there again with my child. The food is superb. The staff? they were all friendly” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“Great location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is simply delicous. My daughter enjoyed the shopping malls which is right around the corner.” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“i like everything about this hotel–the polite, courteous, caring attitude of the staff; decency in every aspect; comfort that makes you not to leave the place; the beauty and convenience of the surroundings; oh, i can go on and on..” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“From Toronto I booked the hotel and went there. I suppose to get complimentary breakfast for free but when I went there they said that I have to pay $ 15 extra. The meeting room they have is very small and if any coming to meet you most of the time you will not find a place. Security is too much and every time you come from outside, you have to show your bags and go through full checkup.” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“As soon as we walked into the lobby, we were greeted by a strong punget smell. That should have been our first clue to turn around. The room is very dated with old stained carpets and beds. The bathroom had mildew stains on the sink, on the shower walls and the tub looked dirty…..not at all inviting.” Guest review from travel.yahoo.com
“After double checking with my colleague, I find that we both agree this intercontinental is the worst we ever experienced. As a matter of fact, I think this hotel is an embarrassment for such a prestigious brand name. Location-wise, it’s an intercontinental location. But on hardware and services, I can only call it a Holiday Inn.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com
“The hotel location is so convenient, that you can access to SM Mall, Glorietta and Greenbelt within walking distance. The buffet breakfast served at Jeepney Cafe on the ground floor of the hotel is also a thumb up! Highly recommended. Access to Ninoy Aquino International Airport is only 30 minutes” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com
“After having spent an hour crawling 7 miles from the airport to Makati, I was more than relieved to arrive in this hotel. The room is not as big as I expected, considering this is a 5-star establishment. Nevertheless, it is comfortable and complete with most necessities. You will be happy to know that all their staff speaks perfect english and are friendly & helpful.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com
“The first time I stayed here, the service was exceptional. The elevators each had their own person to help you and at every floor there was always a guide/guard/helper. The interior was very reminiscent of the old time Manila Type of flavor. In fact, I loved walking through their hotel hallways because it is paneled with a beautiful wood.” Guest review from www.virtualtourist.com
“hotel was fine, but the only thing i found to not to be 5 star standard was the bathrooms in a deluxe room, not very big, lacking in bidea, cleanliness, and facilities, otherwise all was good, especially the staff all over hotel” Guest review from www.hotels.com
“They were great, they could not do enough for us and we would gladly stay there again.” Guest review from www.hotels.com
“In general, my room was well-appointed and services were OK (decent gym, OK room service). However, the room rate did not include breakfast (unforgiveable in Asia), Internet was a pricey $16/day or $50/week, and the room was NOISY (walls seemed unacceptably thin).” Guest review from www.hotels.com
“This hotel paid attention to security, service, spoke excellent English. Provides transportation to airport for a reasonable fee. The room as adequate. Close to shopping etc. The use of the computer, printer etc. seemed a bit expensive. I would stay here again” Guest review from www.hotels.com
“It was convenient – restaurant on site was superb! Shopping all at walking distance. Employees were all very courteous. Entertainment on site. Everything is there. I wish I could stay longer.” Guest review from www.expedia.com
“There was nothing to complain about the hotel only the check-in and out was very slow. Rooms were clean and pool nice for the hot days, good gym a bonus. Very good location, 2 mins walk from Glorietta’s 5 malls.” Guest review from www.expedia.com
“The Intercontinental Hotel Group is always my hotel of choice when traveling. Service and quality is always excellent.” Guest review from www.expedia.com
“The Hotel is located in the central shopping area in Makati. No need to rent a car or take a cab should you decide to look around & shop. Moviehouses are in the area, a park, a church for Catholics & numerous high end stores.” Guest review from www.expedia.com
“Hotel Intercontinental Manila in Makati was kept rather clean, according to Wolfgang. The hotel is ideally located near shopping facilities. Near the hotel, excellent restaurants and bars can be found. The service was found good enough.” Guest review from www.holidaycheck.com
